The Mount: Terms and Conditions
1. The deposit together with a signed booking form will be required to reserve the property. A telephone booking will be held for a period of up to 5 days pending the receipt of a deposit.
2. Following the receipt of your deposit, you will be sent a written or email confirmation of booking. The contract of hire, and liability for the full rental, becomes effective on despatch of the booking confirmation.
3. The balance of the rental is to be paid at least 6 weeks before the start of the rental otherwise the booking may be treated as cancelled.
4. In the event of cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of the holiday your deposit will not be refunded unless the property is re-let for the same period. Should cancellation take place less than 6 weeks before the start of the holiday the rental is payable in full. We recommend that you consider taking out suitable holiday insurance.
5. The cottage will normally be available from 3 pm on the day of arrival to 10 am on the day of departure.
6. The cottage is suitable for up to four guests. Please inform us in advance if you plan to invite guests that are not listed in the Booking Form.
7. You are asked to leave the cottage clean and tidy, as we intend you to find it. This includes all the equipment and utensils that have been provided to make your stay pleasurable. Whilst you will not necessarily be charged for minor items you should be aware that you could be liable for the costs of any breakages or damage. If anything gets broken, let us know so we can replace the item. Please do not replace the item with something similar as we end up with bit and bobs! The owners reserve the right to to seek compensation for any damage discovered after guests have departed.
8. Your pet will be welcome only by prior arrangement. All pets should bring their own bedding, are not allowed in the bedrooms and are never to be left unattended in the cottage.
9. We regret that we are unable to accept liability to any member of the holiday party for any personal injury or sickness, loss or damage to property, including vehicles, however sustained or caused, nor for the loss or theft of property and/or money.
10. We reserve the right to enter the property at any time for the purpose of maintenance or repairs should they become necessary. However, we will respect your right to privacy and ensure that you are not unduly disturbed during your holiday.
11. The cottage is strictly non-smoking. Any damage or contamination caused by guests smoking in the property that results in the need for extra maintenance and / or dry-cleaning of soft furnishing will be chargeable to the hirer.
12. If for any reason beyond our control the cottage is rendered unsuitable for letting on the date booked all monies paid by you will be returned in full, but there shall be no further claim against us.
